Chillin' in Charlotte with Titi Chell

That is what we did this weekend! We just decided to hop in the car on Friday and go see Titi. Mommy said something about needing a vacation....I slept the whole time there so it was OKay by me!

Oh I had such a good time. I admit I was a little afraid on Dunkin' the dog. He is pretty big like Jersey, but it was cool. Daddy was getting frustrated because I wanted to be on the floor and walking around to go see and find Dunkin' but then I would come running up to get on the couch when he came towards me!!! LOL Yeah and Mommy was surprised because I kept saying Dunkin's name. It is pretty easy to say, not sure what the commotion was about, but they kept asking me to say it, so I would. And then once in a while I would just throw it out there when he would walk by...oh it is so funny to see the adults laugh and get all excited!!!

We went to the pool on Saturday and went swimming. I LOVE THE POOL!!! And then on Sunday we went to the place called Concord Mills and they have a little playground for kids and I was going all over the place and went on the slide. It was fun! Mommy was in there with me. I think she had a little more fun than I did. She was crawling through the tunnels to try to get me to follow her, but I am no fool! You don't know what can happen in those things!!!!

Well my family from Florida went home on Sunday. My abuela, Titi Arelis and Darwin. Gwen stayed because she is going back to school. We will get to see her more now that she is here and not in Florida!


Well we had a good time this weekend. We didn't do too much but hung out and played. And I got to meet some other "uncles" this weekend. They were funny guys. But they are the ones that go out with Mommy and Daddy and I have to stay home, so I am not too sure if I like them! But they were cool.


You know what is so funny, I didn't think saying a few words would amaze people so much. I am talking a lot more now. I can say "thank you"...in my own way of course...and "bye bye" and "agua" and "avena" I am pretty much trying to repeat whatever it is that I hear and OH MY GOD! They love it! I mean talk about putting on a show and having an audience. I can keep my parents MESMERIZED by just trying to say a word! It really is pretty hysterical. LOL Oh I have a good time keeping them entertained. Well, you know, they entertain me a lot also. They play with me and sing with me oh and chase me! That is the best. Yeah that is one of my new things.....LOL....I love to run away whenever anyone tries to get something from me. LOL Oh it is so much fun. They call my name...I look....I see them coming....and I TAKE OFF...and they FOLLOW....and the fun begins HAHAHA

Okay so Mommy wanted me to explain this picture and let everyone know that even though I am drinking from a party cup there wasn't a "big person drink" in there. I have NO IDEA what she is talking about, but she said you all might know. She did say though the orange soda she had in the cup was just as bad for me....I was really just trying to get at the ice. But do you see how talented I am!!!!!

So Now they Say I am Soooooo Dominican

HAHAHA So you know what I tried this weekend....Morir Sonando (literal translation is Die Dreaming) ohhh it was good. Daddy made some for him and then he gave me a little bit...It was really good. It is like a milkshake with milk and orange juice, some vanilla and sugar. Mommy wasn't too happy because of the extra sugar, but I only had a little bit. And hey I am drinking some milk, it can't be that bad!!! Yeah Mommy told Titi Janette and she said now I was true Dominican LOL

Did I ever tell you how much I like hanging out with Mommy when she is cooking in the kitchen. Well this is where I hang out on the counter, while she chops and stirs and cooks!

I was trying to do a little mixing of my own here....

Oh Mommy kept saying I looked like I was surfing when I was standing on this thing. Not sure what she meant by that, but I thought it was fun to stand on it and play around with it. That is one of our laundry baskets that fold up. Yeah I got stuck in it earlier. I climbed into it, stood up and then couldn't get it off. Mommy laughed at me....good thing she didn't have her camera for that one!!!

Well my abuela and Titi Arelis and cousins should be coming back soon. It will be nice to see them. Okay gotta go bye!

Oh no wait I have to tell you. So we went to get my eyes checked last night. Yeah I do not remember it being so traumatic the last time. Man they had me laying down, Mommy holding my arms, Daddy holding my legs, the assistant holding my eyes open the doctor with this CRAZY LIGHT shining it in my sensitive eyes! Lord it was crazy! But.............it was awesome and the doctor took so long because he was confused because my eyes are better!!!! He said my nearsightedness is because of the shape of my eyes and he thinks they have changed shape. Anyway they are better!! My glasses will be a little thinner....LOL...but I get to keep my frames! You know since everyone loves them soooooo much.

Okay now I really gotta go!

Awesome Weekend!

So my family came up from Florida!! They got here on Saturday evening and it was so much fun. I was playing with Darwin and hanging with Gwen and getting hugs and kisses from my Abuela and Titi Arelis. I was showing them the songs I know and was dancing and goofing around. LOL we had a good time.

Oh and wait on Saturday morning went to this thing called a garage sale and look at what we got!!!

Oh I love music. Mommy said she was going to teach me how to play and Daddy was on there making music with the beats and playing along. It sounded really good!!!

Then we went to church on Sunday and I stayed in the nursery. It was okay....They took me outside to walk around, but I was REALLY HAPPY when Mommy and Daddy came to pick me up! You know it is just a different place. I have to get used to it. We will see how it goes next weekend.

YEY My abuela and Titi Arelis and Gwen and Darwin are coming up from Florida. I have never met Darwin, but if he is as cool as Gwen then we should be good! LOL

I know I haven't posted much but we have just been hanging out and taking it easy. We have a bunch of appointments coming up soon, so I am happy for the break.

Oh guess what Mommy and Daddy turned my car seat around!! Yup...now I just wonder, why didn't they do this sooner!!!!!!! It is soooo much better. I can see EVERYTHING. Mommy was a little bothered by it, she wanted me to stay turned around...something about it being safer, but Daddy said my seat wiggled too much when it was backwards....ANYWAY I am facing forward and I LOVE IT!!!! It is soooo much waaaaay better. Daddy laughs because I stare at him while he is driving LOL. He doesn't know I do it to make him uncomfortable! Oh and it is so funny because Mommy practically sits backwards in her front seat so she can play with me. I know it is soooo not safe, but she is Mommy, she is supposed to know what she can and cannot do. She tells me ALL the time the things I can't do. When I fall asleep she sits the correct way....at least I think so...I am sleeping so I really don't know....hmmm I wonder how I can find out...anyway

YEY YEY YEY my family is coming up to hang out with me!

Yearly Review....LOL

Well I went for my 12 month check, but really I am 13 months old...its all good. Here are the stats.

21lbs. 14oz. and 30 inches tall

And this time they did it again....I got stuck 3 TIMES! But it was okay, I guess. I am kind of used to it. Though I yelled like nobody's business when the first one went in!!!

But I think what the worst thing was this finger thing. They stuck my finger and took out blood! Yeah not excited about that at all. And then they put this tight band-aid on my finger oh man all I wanted to do was take it off. I kept on messing with it! I think Mommy snuck a picture of me trying to take it off. But I left it alone, finally....

Oh so listen to this one. You know, my parents keep saying this thing is "for me" but I don't think it really is. They got me a "toy box". But, it is not a "toy box" it is a crazy thing that keeps my toys locked up and I can't get to them unless someone opens the top!!! What is that about?! I saw the box, it didn't say "toy box" on the side. Well, I can't read it..... but, there were no pictures of toys in it or out of it. It is a "storage bench". I heard Mommy tell Titi Chell that. I mean it is kind of cool. All of my toys are in one place and I can go into it when I want. At least Mommy left out my favorite toys. My 4Wheeler and truck and books are out. I can get those anytime! The living room does look a little better because my blocks aren't everywhere and I do like to sit on top of it. So maybe it's not so bad. I still don't like the fact that I have to have someone open the top for me to get my stuff. I guess when I get bigger it will be easier!
