It Is the Simple Things That Make Me Laugh

Okay I was hanging with Tio in the kitchen and he was getting ready to cook. He really is a joker and finds the craziest things to make me laugh. Check out this video.

This Weekend's Activities

So we had another busy weekend. Mommy got these tickets for Care Fest. They had no idea what they were getting into (my parents that is). They had never gone to this before, but it seems that mommy wants to do whatever she can do and we always do everything together. I like getting out so I don't complain....much.

Well we got to take some Halloween pictures that was cool and I got to sit in a REAL firetruck! There were a bunch of games, but I was too small for anything, which mommy knew that was going to happen, but we went anyway. Like I said I don't mind. I like to be out! So we walked around, took some pictures, talked to some people because they were asking about my glasses and just hung out. Here are some of those pictures....

Oh and then yesterday mommy and daddy got me this new toy. I received some gifts from my Uncle Tuto and my Tia Gladys. With that extra money they bought me this jumper/activity center. Oh yeah I like that!!! Thank you Uncle Tuto and Tia Gladys!!!!!

Hangin with Tio

This is just me chillin' being silly with Tio. He was making me laugh. Mommy says I look like Uncle Joey and Mom-Mom in this picture. Check out this video of me in my rocking chair you can definitely see how itchy my gums are. LOL I can't keep my fingers out of my mouth!!!

Gulp, Gulp, Gulp

So we had to go back to UNC yesterday. It had been a while since we were there last and we saw Leah our Speech/Feeding person, mommy knows her title. Anyway, I had to do a swallow study again and Tio was going to record it for daddy to watch because they were going to give me cereal to see how well I swallowed it. Okay all I have to say is WHAT IS WITH THAT WHITE STUFF THEY PUT IN MY BOTTLE! They kept calling it barium something or other. All I know is that it was so nasty. I NEVER remembered it tasting so bad. I have had this done twice already. Well I fussed and got upset, but they were able to get the pictures and tell mommy what she and daddy need to do to help me. I am as-per-rate-ing. That is what it sounds like. Mommy looked a little worried because they said if it happens too much and I get my milk in my chest I can get really sick. So they have to be careful and now start practicing with me eating sitting up with thicker milk. I guess I can't be so comfortable like I usually am on my pillow drinking my milk....Yeah, I will tell you about that one later! Sheesh...

Anyway, then they tried this stuff on a spoon and mommy put it in my mouth. This was weird. This was the cereal. I didn't like that taste of that EITHER. It was sooo different. But they were able to get the pictures they needed with that and then the torture was finally OVER!!! Finally I was able to drink my regular milk! Oh yeah baby. That was good.

Well when daddy got home we tried the thick milk with cereal in the bottle...what was that about?! When mommy squeezed it was spitting in my mouth! Yeah that took a while to get used to. Mommy kept telling daddy she was going to have to find something else. Then daddy gave me my cereal. This one tasted way better then the one with the barium stuff. Half of it was on my bib and mommy was laughing at the faces I was making in the beginning. Daddy was making some weird noise and circling the spoon in front of my face. I just kept trying to grab it. Mommy had to hold my hands down. But, needless to say it was an interesting night. LOL

But I still woke up at 1:45 this morning for another bottle...to mommy's surprise....come on it is my JOB to keep them on their toes!!!

4 Month Check Up...Crazy Needles AGAIN!!

Okay so this morning, mommy got me up and got me all dressed and smelling good. I was curious as to where we were going. But, I kept on smiling and laughing with mommy and playing with her bracelet as she got me dressed. When we went down stairs she told me we were going to see Dr. Collazo this morning and going to get a check up. Okay, I thought this should be okay. I haven't seen her in a while. This might be fun.

When we were driving mommy told me again where we were going and said she didn't think we were going to have any shots, so this should be a really easy appointment. I was really only half paying attention because I was looking at these green things flashing by the window. Mommy says they are trees. And, I was playing with my little frog on my carseat. I am really having fun with that now. yeah, I had NO idea what to do with that before...

Well I am weighing in at 14lbs 3.5 ozs and am 24 in long! Mommy calls me her Big Man. Dr. Collazo was nice. She came in and was checking me out and said how cute I was. Oh yeah and she LOOOOOVES my glasses. She said I was doing great and that mommy can try to give me some cereal. I don't know what that is all about, but mommy was really excited. When she was leaving Dr. Collazo said the nurse was coming in to give me my shots. Mom looked shocked so I really can't be too upset with her, but MAN! AGAIN! What is it with these things!!!!

So the nurse comes in and is talking to mommy and I am just looking at her and checking her out. Then mommy looks at me and says, "Oh we have been through worse. It will be okay." Says YOU Woman!! I know I've been through worse. That DOES NOT mean I like extra needles!

Anyway, I laid down and mommy tried to distract me, but I cried. Those things HURT. And again with the cute little band-aids that don't take away the pain! But, I didn't cry too much. Mommy gave me hugs and kisses and my bo-bo and a few seconds later I was okay.

When I got home, Tio was there and I knew it was PLAYTIME. That is why I always crack up when I see him! I kind of forgot about the shots, but what is with the ITCHING IN MY MOUTH!!!

It is like I can't put enough stuff in there!!! Everyone keeps saying that I am going to be getting a tooth. Whatever, beats me what that is, but if it stops the itching PLEASE LET IT HAPPEN SOON!!!! It was so bad I was sucking on mommy's fingers this weekend.

Oh yeah, and I am slowly mastering this rolling over thing. That is what mommy calls it. All I know is that I can change from that annoying belly position to my back when I want to now! What a relief! Oh and mommy cracks up when I scoot my self around. I can't go forwards yet, but I move my legs and arms so much when I am on my belly that I move in a circle or backwards. Mommy keeps saying I will be crawling soon....wait until that happens. They think they have to move fast now....just wait!!!

My First Dance Lesson

My Tio played a bunch of music for me yesterday and I think I found what I really like! Mommy used to dance with me all over the living room when she was home, but my tastes were a little different then. Now that I am a big man of 4 months (tomorrow) I am loving BACHATA! Check out my dance moves on this new video....LOL My Tio starts dancing to get me to dance so the camera starts to move a bit! He is funny. He does ANYTHING to make me laugh.

Oh and Merengue doesn't do it for me, it made me cry. And Reggeaton was pretty good. I started bopping my head when it came on. Next, mommy said we need to try out Salsa!

Festivals and Fun

We had another busy weekend! We had the International Festival of Raleigh at the Convention Center this weekend and we all went together. There was a lot of different kinds of people there, different music and a lot of tables and things to see and buy. It was cool! Mommy had me in a snugglie, I think that is what she called it. All I know is that I got to see everything. I was up high and looking out at everything!! It was a lot better then being in the car seat in the stroller! I kept kicking my legs and moving my arms around everytime I saw something I liked. I have a couple of pictures to show you guys of me hanging out with the family at the festival. We ended up missing the Puerto Rican dance show...but got to hear another guy sing all types of Spanish music and we were all singing songs. It was a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures of Saturday.

And then on Sunday Pop-Pop was working on Mommy's car and Tio's car. He was fixing the brakes. So I was hanging out outside with the guys and I started supervising. I even started to help Pop-Pop by giving him some tools! Check me with my socket wrench...;)
