Happy Birthday Mom-Mom!

Mommy and I sang Happy Birthday this morning to my angel Mom-Mom. We love you. Mommy talks about you all the time and says you watch over me everywhere I go. Thank you! I love you! Oh and Mommy said I was with you on your birthday last year, but I was in her belly and you gave me kisses.

I'm Feeling Good

Well, things are good. Daddy and Tio took me to the doctor yesterday to get my jaw checked out. Everything looks good. It was a little weird that Mommy wasn't there, but I had fun with the guys. This weekend was nice and Mommy and I went for a walk in the neighborhood. Check it out.

I was also helping Mommy with the laundry. You can still see my bandage in these pictures.

Oh and Titi Chell came to see me on Sunday. That was fun. She was so excited because she hadn't seen some of my moves or heard my mouth so much! LOL

And this is me and Mommy this morning before she went to work. She told me I should put these up so everyone can see how great I am doing. She says I amaze her and that I am such a trooper.

Mommy was chasing me in this picture. LOL She is funny. I always try to go after the cds that are under the table and Mommy says, "Don't you even think about it." And starts chasing me. LOL It makes me crack up and I think she likes to hear me laugh. So we just start playing on the floor.

Okay...Here is the Latest

Well it has been a wild ride. I was in the hospital yesterday ALL DAY and then I had to have surgery on my jaw line. Yeah I know it is one thing or another. Here is the quick run down.

Feb. 7th Mommy and Daddy noticed a little bump on my jaw line, at the place where the did my surgery on the left side. We have had problems with this before.


Feb. 8th Mommy called the doctor and they told me to go get checked out on Thursday Feb. 11.


Feb 11th we go to the doc, got checked out, they weren't worried. They said watch it and gave Mommy a prescription for some banana flavored medicine, she calls it Augmenten (it is okay).


Feb. 14th Mommy and Daddy noticed that my little bump got bigger, a lot more red and just looked funky.


Feb. 15th Mommy sent Rachel the nurse pictures of the change in my little bump that they thought was a cyst and told her that she was going to start giving me the antibiotic. Rachel showed the pictures to my doctor and he said he wanted to see me on Thursday Feb 18th.


Feb 18th Mommy, Tio and I went to the doctor, they looked at my bump and they put me on the surgery schedule for that day. Rachel told Mommy that that might happen, so I couldn't eat that day in the morning and Mommy TRIED to give me this thing called Pedialyte YUCK and then some apple juice thing, yeah I did not enjoy this and wanted my milk, but Mommy kept saying she was sorry and she couldn't give it to me. Well after WAITING ALL DAY, Mommy said I was such a trooper because I wasn't crying for food or anything. I was just being me and waiting. I did get a little fussy when I was tired, but that was about it.


But we finally went in and things went really well Mommy said. They didn't have to take out my plates on my jaw. The infection was just at the skin on the outside, not at the bone and we got to go home last night.


Oh and when I got to the recovery room, I did drink that juice!!! It was good, but I was just really thirsty and hungry so I would have taken anything! Daddy came to pick up me and Mommy and we went home. Today is a better day and Mommy is coming home early from work to take care of me. Tio is hanging with me this morning.

8 Months Old...With A Cold!

Oh what is all of this stuff coming out of my nose!?!?!? I mean milk, I am used to, this whole palate issue, you know it just happens. But this nasty stuff coming out of my nose is messing with my sleeping! I got up a few times last night and was not happy. Mommy came in first and then Daddy came in. Oh man and then this morning Tio put these drops in my nose and used this suction thing!! WHAT IS THAT ABOUT! But it helped a little bit. Mommy said she was going to buy me a humidifier tonight. We'll see what that is all about....okay

AHHHH-CHOOOOO! Oh man gotta go...

Worse Than I Remembered...

Okay, so I went with Mommy and Tio to UNC Children's Hospital to have a Swallow Study done yesterday. I have had this done like 3 times already. But THIS one was CRAZY! Maybe because I did not remember the other ones. Man they gave me that white stuff again, but with strawberry syrup, I mean COME ON!!! HORRIBLE. Mommy feeding it to me in my bottle but I was being a little uncooperative. Then they wanted to give me some applesauce with the barium powder...okay WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT! I literally gagged! GAGGED! Mommy felt really bad and I was crying and just wanted OUT OF THAT CHAIR! So Mommy gave me some of my regular applesauce and then threw in one of the other spoons of stuff, does she really think I am that naive?!? I knew what she was doing.

So then they went back to try to see the milk. The only way this was going to work was Mommy had to squirt that milk in my mouth, give me the bo-bo so I would swallow and Leah, my feeding specialist, was holding my head straight and my arms down! What a process...Mommy did say that if I passed this test and no milk went into my chest when I swallowed we wouldn't have to do it again! So I swallowed and they watched it on the x-ray screen and I PASSED!!! So NO MORE SWALLOW STUDIES!!! Unless Mommy thinks I need one, I start getting congestion or sick or the doctors ask for one, but I don't think we will have to do it anymore.

THANK GOD!!! Well I was a little confused after the test and Mommy wanted to give me some of my regular milk, but WHO KNEW what was in that bottle?! So I kind of fought her for a little bit until she got a little bit of milk in my mouth and I realized, she had the good stuff! So I had a few ounces and we were off to go home.

I was trying to tell Daddy about what happened at the test. Mommy was telling me to tell him while we were on the couch. I don't think he understood me very well so Mommy had to translate, though she didn't get exactly what I was saying either. But, they try they really do. I have to give them credit. Okay gotta go!! Oh I go get my hearing check on the 16th. That should be interesting. I don't remember having a hearing test, though Mommy said they did it right after I was born and I passed. I will keep you posted!

Snow....SO OVERATED!

So we did get snow. It started on Friday night. I had fallen asleep already but Mommy said it was so pretty. She said Daddy went to get to see if it had started and the flakes were so big. She almost woke me up to see it, but then decided not to. The next morning it was STILL snowing, but we didn't go outside. Mommy said it was sleeting so it wasn't good to go out. It did that ALL day. So we just stayed inside and played and stayed warm.

On Sunday it had stopped, but everything was really icy. But we went outside anyway. Why, I don't know. I mean I was excited at first, but now I don't understand the big deal. It is cold, it is wet and it is WAY TOO BRIGHT outside!!! and what is with all the clothes! I could barely even crawl. Yeah check out the pics and you will see what I mean. Jersey LOVED the snow, but she is a dog. I'm not a dog. I am not a fan. But we were all hanging outside for a while. Jersey was running around. Mommy had me touch the snow, Daddy put me in my stroller and we were sliding all over the place. But I think I smiled once the whole time we were out there. Well you can see. Mommy put all of the pictures on Photobucket and I am going to put some up here. Maybe when I am older, it will make more sense, but all Mommy kept saying was, "Well I guess he is not a snowbaby." Daddy told me it was okay that since we live here it only happens every once in a while. If we lived in New Jersey it would be worse. They keep talking about this Jersey place. I thought it was just the dog's name, but we are supposed to go there in March. Maybe I will understand a little better. Well here are the pictures.
